Anna M. Skaggs

staff-skaggs_anna_smI am a native West Virginian who now calls North Carolina my home. I began my paralegal career 24 years ago working in personal injury. Since that time, I have worked in firms that handle family law, bankruptcy, predatory lending, criminal law, general civil litigation, and estate planning. My wide variety of experience has exposed me to people from all walks of life, and that remains my best teacher. My philosophy is to serve others and to keep things simple, and I strive to reflect those beliefs in my daily balance of work and home.

I have two beautiful and intelligent daughters. They remind me every day just how important it is to advocate for those who feel they may not be able to speak for themselves. We enjoy reading, playing card games, and backyard picnics together. Watching baseball and college football (especially the Marshall Thundering Herd!), listening to music, reading, and being outside are a few of my favorite things to do.

My passion for personal injury, domestic violence, and family law matters is second only to my daughters. My goals as a paralegal are to support my team and our clients using the knowledge and strength gained throughout my career, to assist our team in effectively representing our clients, and to make a positive impact in every case.
