I was born and raised in a small town in Southwest Florida. After playing college soccer for a year, I transferred to Florida State University in Tallahassee where I completed my undergraduate studies and attended law school (Go Noles!). I moved to Charlotte in 2020 and quickly fell in love with the city and the people who live here. I immediately knew that this is where I wanted to call home.
I had known that I wanted to be a lawyer since I was very young, and Tallahassee, being the capital city of Florida, provided me with the opportunities I needed to kickstart my legal career. While in school, I was able to work for the Florida Bar, the Florida House of Representatives, and the Florida Department of Elder Affairs. After graduating from law school, I accepted a job as a clerk for the Florida First District Court of Appeal.
I spend most of my free time playing or watching sports, and as much as possible of what’s leftover with my awesome dog Riley. I am a member of the Charlotte running club, a Charlotte FC season ticket holder, and a member of several local recreational league soccer teams.
Practice Philosophy
As a child of divorce who grew up with a blended family, I believe my own experiences and background allow me to better understand the overall emotional toll as well as the day-to-day frustrations and practical difficulties that many of my clients, and their children, are going through. I appreciate that the “little things” can, and do, become overwhelming and I’m here to answer any questions along the way.
As a former college athlete, I know that honesty and communication are the keys to building confidence within a team. I will always give sincere answers and try to set realistic expectations because I want each of my clients to recognize that, not only am I their advocate, but that we are on the same team.
As a family law attorney, I’ve learned that having a client’s trust is necessary for me to best help in navigating what are complicated and often unfamiliar experiences. In order to gain the trust of my clients, I make efforts to connect and build a relationship with each of them, and am always happy to share what I’m thinking, as well as my reasoning behind it.
