I grew up right outside of Raleigh, North Carolina in the small town of Knightdale. I moved to the Catawba County area of North Carolina in my 30s and, most recently, I have moved to the Charlotte area, where I have lived since 2018. I attended Gaston Community College, with a concentration in Business Administration. I also attended Western Piedmont Community College, with a concentration in Paralegal Studies.
I worked for seven years for family law/criminal law firms in the Catawba County area. I found a passion for criminal law and began working for a criminal law attorney in Charlotte, North Carolina in 2008. My position with the firm was as a trial paralegal in first degree murder/death penalty cases and federal criminal matters. I also managed both the law firm as well as the property management company. I have now chosen to go back to my roots, returning to an established family law firm, Rech Law, P.C.
The experience I have gained, both professionally and personally having been through a divorce myself, allows me to be empathetic to the journey that our clients experience.
In my free time, I enjoy running, the theater, Appalachian State football and Panther’s games. I also enjoy time with my family and friends, spending as much time as I can with my youngest child, who lives in the Charlotte area.
